The American School Foundation Fine Arts — auditorium under graded architectural lighting
The Fine Arts auditorium — lighting graded into the architecture to serve both performance and gathering.

Seeking LEED certification, the Fine Arts building of the American School Foundation in Mexico City embraces a diversity of spaces and activities that made this project both challenging and exciting.

From classrooms and the auditorium to the gallery foyers, our design evolved by integrating the lighting into the architecture — an elegant and practical way to connect the elements of each space. Light becomes the thread that lets a single building hold quiet study, performance and exhibition without ever feeling like three different places.

The fixtures and lamps reinforce the activity of each room while keeping a sustainable design firmly in mind, working within the parameters of the LEED certification the building was pursuing.

Lighting integrated into the architecture — an elegant, practical way to connect the elements of a space.
