Lucero Tile

An affirmation of Maya tradition, translated into something new.

A variation on the Star Design — a "star" motif that has appeared on the textiles of the Chiapas highlands since the Classic Maya period. Lucero carries that ancestral geometry off the loom and into a tiled surface, holding the tradition while letting it breathe.
